It is best known for its lemurs, including the spectacular “dancer”, known locally as the name sifaky.

You can see the famous Indri indri or Babakoto, the largest of the living lemurs in Madagascar, and also the Propithecus diadema or Sifaka.

Mulhouse zoo (Haut-Rhin) welcomed a new resident he presented in early March: a crowned propithèque baby, family lemurs.

Verreaux's sifaka lives in the dry forests of western and southern Madagascar, where it feeds on leaves, fruit, and flowers.
