Needle nose pliers will be very handy, and wire strippers may be needed as well.
Use a set of pliers (needle nose pliers, if necessary) to remove the bracket clip that holds the cylinder in place.
As the key begins to come out of the lock you should be able to grab the broken bit with the needle-nose pliers to remove it completely.
Use a fuse removal tool or needle nose pliers to remove the fuse to the fuel pump to disable it and get ready to crank the engine.
If there is enough of the broken key visible, you can try inserting the tip of needle nosed pliers into the keyhole to grab the broken key and pull it straight out.
