BRAKING TESTS AND PERFORMANCE OF BRAKING SYSTEMS
Braking tests and performance of braking systems
BRAKING TESTS AND PERFORMANCE OF BRAKING SYSTEMS
full force means the maximum force laid down in the braking tests and performance of braking systems according to this Regulation.
Braking tests shall be carried out on a dry surface affording good adhesion.
In braking tests, and in particular in those at high speed, the general behaviour of the vehicle during braking must be checked.
Braking tests which the vehicles submitted for approval are required to undergo, and the braking performance required, are described in Annex 3 to this Regulation.
In braking tests, and in particular in those at high speed, the general behaviour of the vehicle during braking shall be checked.
The braking tests shall be performed on a dry asphalt test track in accordance with ISO Standard 15037-1:1998.
In braking tests, and in particular in those at high speed, the general behaviour of the vehicle during braking must be checked.
Successive brake tests are performed
For tyre break-in, two braking runs shall be performed.
Brake tests simulation engine connected, see paragraph 3.4.4 of this Annex
The brake tests shall be documented as prescribed in Appendix 8 of this annex.
For every candidate tyre and the standard reference tyre, ABS-braking test runs shall be repeated a minimum of 6 times.
