The appa- ratus (1) comprises a vortex channel (2) for receiving liq- uid (L) entering the apparatus.

The at least one turbulence channel (37, 40) is embodied in the valve seat body (5) or in a turbulence disk (39) adjacent to the valve seat body (5).

At least one turbulence channel is disposed downstream from the tight seat and provided with a tangential component in relation to a longitudinal axis (38) of the fuel injection valve (1).

The valve needle (3) and/or the valve closing body (4) comprise at least one helical channel (35) arranged on the circumference thereof.

The soft elastic front edge (13, 47) of the sleeper holder (10, 40) is pressed into the eddy channel (8) in a sealing manner in the process.

The swirl channel (21) comprises a channel cross-section and the nozzle hole (19) comprises a hole cross-section, which are dimensioned in such a way that the ratio of the channel cross-section to the hole cross-section is equal to or greater than 1.5.

The sleeper holder (10, 40) has an underside (12, 46), an upper side (11, 45) and a front edge (13, 47) that corresponds to the shape of the eddy channel (8) of the sleeper (1).

The valve also includes a swirl device (34) having at least one swirl channel (35) that is crossflown by fuel with a tangential component relative to the longitudinal axis (38) of the fuel injection valve (1).
