Now follows either a seal (foil or bitumen membranes) and then a clean layer of lean concrete or first the lean concrete and then the seal.

On top of the lean concrete they lay a plastic foil which allows some flexibility between the concrete layers.

Hence for a stable and strong foundation, lean concrete should be used invariably.
